With a top speed of 72 mph, it's the fastest coaster in the Universal Destinations & Experiences portfolio, and it's coming to a park near you in 2026.
But here's where it gets even more exciting. This coaster isn't just about speed; it's an immersive experience. The ride vehicles will rotate 360 degrees as you glide along a 4,100-foot track, the equivalent of nearly 12 football fields. And get this: the track is constructed with sound reduction technology, so you can feel the thrill without the noise. Imagine the sensation of drifting cars as you spin in motion at furiously fast speeds, catapulted along an aerial track that picks up speed as it accelerates downhill.
The coaster will be the largest in the L.A. park by far, and it's being built to take advantage of the park's steep terrain. Construction has been under way for months, and now the track loops across several levels of the backlot. Earlier this summer, individual cars were tested on limited portions of the track, and now trains of four ride vehicles are being launched and tested together. The ride vehicles will be revealed at a later date, but one of the four ride vehicles, modeled after Dominic Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger, is already on display at Universal Studios Hollywood as part of its Mega Movie Summer event.
This event, running from Friday to Sunday, August 10, is a seasonal extravaganza with a cool refresh of Jurassic World: The Ride, new dinosaurs, and enhanced splashes. There will also be DJ performances, 50th Anniversary Jaws merchandise, food, and photo ops tied to Back to the Future 40th Anniversary, Wicked, and How to Train Your Dragon.
