At least another decade? He is like in his mid fifties now. He would be in his mid 60s if he stops in a decade. How will he do this? Though now he is closer in age to the actual comic Logan. Physically.

I dunno to me classic Wolvie always looked like he is in his mid 30s with no grey hair. But I guess it depends on the artist.

Well, I am entering fifty and I have hardly any grey hair. He looks too grizzled to me to be in his thirties. But I always saw him as physically in his 40s and 50s. It's been debatable. Yeah, the artist matters, I guess.

That's how Logan's claws should always be rendered as such none of that weird-looking blades between his fisted knuckles crap...

Frank Miller was the first one who draw the claws like blades. But in his version they didn´t come out between his knuckles though.

I love the claws looking more like blades, back when they were implants and not organic bone claws coated in metal. And the housings on the backs of his hands that they came out of were cool too. Somehow it made what Weapon X did to Logan that much darker… they took a mutant with a relatively benign power, rapid healing, and turned him into a living switchblade that is indestructible.

Maybe the MCU version of Wolverine will go back to that? Would be a cool way to differentiate him from the FOX version. At least IMO.

That's really what I miss about the claws being implants. It made what was done to Logan so much darker -- a bunch of scientists making a man into something he wasn't originally created to be. There was tragedy with that, his autonomy being violated and he was made into a cruel weapon because they saw a benign power and made it deadly. Parts were added that were not originally there. He had to live with all of that. Now? He was always that way, was always an animal. What he got was the equivalent of a cosmetic upgrade, which really kind of rubs me wrong and lessens the impact of what Weapon X did to him.

And now, there's even less characters who can really explore that aspect of being horrifically altered like that, having implants added against your will and having to live with being made into a weapon like that. I think now Omega Red is the only one left with implanted weapons. Which is yet another shame, since there were parallels to be made between Arkady and Logan about that shared experience. Logan's powers were harmless and turned deadly. Arkady’s powers were already deadly and made even more so with enhancements.

Not sure how I feel about Romulus. I always thought the concept of him had a lot of potential but then the character himself was terribly bland and uninteresting. I'm not opposed to him coming back if Saladin has ideas to use him effectively.

I don’t know if Saladin is the writer to try and rehabilitate Romulus. He’s not bad, but so far his run has been very paint by numbers imo.
